I am appearing in MA(Political Science) with Bengali mediam from vidyasagar University and I am comfortable in Bengali . If I write in Bengali in main exam, will I be treated at par with those writing in hindi and English medium ? Can I choose Bengali and political science as optional for main exam?

Yes, you can opt Bengali medium of answering in the mains and you will be treated as any other candidate writing in any other language. Every year there are few candidates writing mains in languages such as telegu, tamil, gujrati etc. Yes, a language alongwith popular optional makes a good combination.

You may be unfit for IPS and other technical services like Railway Traffic etc. but fit for other services
