Step I :- Appear for C.P.T. (COMMON PROFICIENCY TEST)

Step II :- Register for I.P.C.C. ( INTEGRATED PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE COURSE) & start Articleship after clearing I Group.

Step III :- Take Final Exam.

Total Duration of Course is approx. 4 years.

C.P.T. is an entrance exam for C.A., which can be given just after XII exams. The Registration can be done even after X exams.

As you can appear in C.P.T. exam just after your XII exams, so start preparing along with your regular studies of class XI & XII.

A Candidate who has passed the 10th examination conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India (or an examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto) can register for the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) of the CA programme.

A Candidate who has passed the 10th examination conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India (or an examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto) can register for the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) of the CA programme. But they can write the examination only after passing the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or waiting for the 10+2 exam results. There are no restrictions with regard to the age of the candidate or marks secured in Senior Secondary Examination.

Commerce graduates with 50% marks, non-commerce graduates with subjects other than Mathematics with an aggregate of 55% marks and non-commerce graduates with Maths with an aggregate of 60% marks are exempted from the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) and are permitted to register for Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC).

CA Foundation exam is the gateway to a career in Chartered Accountancy. Before getting into the detailed CA Foundation Syllabus, let’s have an overview of the CA Foundation exam pattern:

1. CA Foundation exam has four papers.
2. Every paper carries a maximum of 100 marks and the time duration is 3 hours for each paper.
3. Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be of subjective type and Paper 3 and Paper 4 will be of objective type.
4. The objective type of questions will be have negative marking for wrong answers. 1/4th of the marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
5. Candidates must score a minimum of 40% marks in each paper and a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all the papers to pass the CA foundation exam.
6. CA Foundation exam is an offline exam and conducted twice a year. The question paper will be either in English or Hindi languages.
