That is the reason why Constitution Day is celebrated every year on 26 November.

Indian constitution is flexible and rigid both

There are many things that make the Indian constitution special among other country’s constitutions. Indian Constitution is neither rigid nor flexible. There are some articles of the Indian Constitution, which the Parliament can change even with a simple majority. This is why the Indian Constitution is called a flexible and soft constitution. At the same time, there are some articles in which 2/3 majority of the Parliament and the consent of half of the state governments of India are required to make changes, hence this constitution is called a rigid constitution.
