Rajasthan govt to launch Indira Rasoi Yojana for poor

Indira Rasoi Yojana will provide nutritious food to poor and needy twice a day on concessional rates.

Rajasthan Chief Minister, Ashok Gehlot announced on June 24 that the state government has been planning to launch Indira Rasoi Yojana (Indira Kitchen Scheme) to fulfill the government’s resolution of ‘No one Sleeps Hungry’.

The scheme will provide nutritious food to poor and needy twice a day on concessional rates. The Chief Minister made an announcement regarding the scheme while launching the COVID-19 awareness programme via virtual conference.

The state chief minister informed that the government will spend 100 crore every year on the scheme. To effectively run and monitor this scheme, the state government will line up local NGOs’ and will take the help of IT.

The announcement regarding the launch of Indira Rasoi Yojana was done by the Ashok Gehlot who was launching the COVID-19 awareness programme through virtual conference from his official residence.
