The term Indo-Pacific represents an economic and strategic community comprising the vast areas around the Indian and Pacific Oceans between the East Coast of Africa and the West Coast of America; including the littoral countries. In the last decade, this term has become relevant because of the increased bullish activities of China in the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean. America described the situation as a geopolitical competition between free and repressive visions of world order with China and North Korea on one side and all others on the other.
