The candidate must be a citizen or India
Degree of any of the universities recognized by the government of Madhya Pradesh.
Professional and technical qualifications which are recognized by the State Government as equivalent to professional and technical.
A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st January next following the date of commencement of the competitive examination.
State Government may vary the lower and upper age limits for any of the services at certain times.
The term ‘retrenched Government servant denotes a person who was in temporary Government service of the state of Madhya Pradesh or any of its constituent units for a continuous period of not less than six months and who was discharged because of reduction in establishment not more than three years prior to the date of registration at the Employment Exchange or of application made otherwise for employment in Government service.
MPPSC conducts State Service Examination (Annual Combined Competitive Exams) for recruitment to the following services / posts:

Note: The marks which are secured in the prelims are only for qualifying the Mains Examination. It is not counted to determine the order of merit. The Qualifying marksfor Paper II: Aptitude is 33%. But the candidates will be promoted to the Mains only based on the Qualifying marks in Paper I: General Studies.
Eligibility for MPPSC State Service Preliminary Exam :
The Mains Examination is a written Examination. It consists of 6 Papers which are namely Paper I to Paper VI which are based on Ranking. The Questions will be available in Hindi as well as English in the Question Papers.

The Final Ranking of the candidates: This is done based on the marks obtained in the Mains and the Interview.
1- A candidate seeking admission to the Preliminary Examination must pay to the Commission, a fee as decided by the State Government.
2- Payment shall be made through Cross Bank Draft issued by any scheduled Bank. The Draft shall be prepared in favor of the Secretary, Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission, Indore and payable at Indore.
3- It may be noted that fee sent through Money Order, Cheque, Postal Order or any other mode of payment shall not be accepted by the Commission and such application will be treated as without fee and will be summarily rejected.
4-The candidates admitted to the Main Examination will be required to pay a further fee as decided by the State Government.
5-Fees once paid whether for the Preliminary Examination or for the Main Examination shall not be refunded under any circumstances nor can the fee be held in reserve for any other Examination or Selection.

Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission MPPSC State Service Exam is conducted for recruitment to various posts in government departments and offices of the state of Madhya Pradesh. This exam is conducted in two stages namely the preliminary exam and the main exam. Following the IAS exam pattern aspirants who clear the prelim exam are allowed to appear for the main exam. The number of candidates admitted to appear for the main exam is fifteen times more than the number of available vacancies. However the best candidates who clear the main exam and the following procedure are admitted to various posts in respective government department.

The State Government of Madhya Pradesh conduct’s the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) Exam.Popularly known as MPPCS Exam. The MPPCS Exam consists of two papers. First is the General Studies and the Second is the General Aptitude Test. The MPPCS Prelims Examination is a screening examination, and it is conducted to reduce the number of the candidates which can appear in the MPPCS Main Exam.
