MPPSC Forest Services Exam Eligibility Criteria 2022

The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) determines the eligibility for the MPPSC Forest Service such as the required age limit, educational qualification and other criteria for the Forest Services Recruitment 2022. The candidates need to go through the MPPSC Forest Service eligibility criteria minutely to make sure they are eligible to apply for the post or will have their applications cancelled in the selection process.

  • MPPSC has announced a total of 63 vacancies for the posts of Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF), Forest Ranger (FR) and Project Manager (PM) (2nd, 3rd grade).
  • The selection process for the MPPSC Forest Service exam includes a preliminary and main test, an interview round, a physical standard test and a medical test.
  • MPPSC Forest Service application process will start from 10th January 2022 and will continue till 9th February 2022.

MPPSC Forest Service Eligibility Criteria – Age Limit

MPPSC Forest Service eligibility has set different age limits for different posts such as Assistant Conservator of Forest, Forest Ranger and Project Manager. The Commission has granted some relaxation for the prerequisite age limit to the backward classes. Check the table below for more details:

The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for the female candidates, SC/ST, OBC, EWS, State Govt employees, etc.

MPPSC Forest Service Eligibility Criteria – Educational Qualification

The MPPSC Forest Service eligibility criteria state different educational qualifications for different posts available. The details have been stated below: For the Assistant Conservator of Forest posts:

  • But in the case of graduation with pure Mathematics or Statistics, he must have taken any one of the following subjects in Higher Secondary Matriculation or equivalent examination.
  • The candidate should be a graduate (or equivalent) in Science or Engineering from a recognized university with at least one of the following subjects: - Natural Science (Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Biology) Mathematics, Statistics, Geosciences, Agriculture, Environmental Sciences, Forestry, Ecology, Veterinary Science (Veterinary Science), Computer Application Science/Engineering (Agricultural, Chemistry, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Electronics Mechanical)

For the Forest Ranger and Project Manager (2nd, 3rd Grade) posts:

  • The candidate should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent foreign qualification in science/mechanics/agroforestry from a recognized university in India.
  • The candidate must have taken at least one of the following subjects in undergraduate degree: Physics / Chemistry / Zoology / Botany / Geology / Mathematics / Statistics / Forestry / Agriculture / Horticulture / Mechanics (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical / Electronics / Computer)

MPPSC Forest Service Eligibility Criteria – Nationality

The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) categorically states that only the citizens of India can apply for the various posts under MP Forest Service in accordance with the eligibility for the MPPSC Forest Service. Though candidates from all over the country are eligible to apply for the Forest services exam, they need to be a domicile of Madhya Pradesh. Candidates who fail to show proof of the above two conditions will not be entertained during the recruitment process.

MPPSC Forest Service Eligibility Criteria – Number of Attempts

MPPSC Forest Service eligibility states no specific number for how many times the candidates can apply for the vacant posts. Aspirants are allowed to take as many attempts as they want to after reaching the minimum age limit for MPPSC Forest Service. The candidates are free to apply till he/she reaches the maximum age limit, according to the eligibility for the MPPSC Forest Service.

MPPSC Forest Service Exam Pattern 2022

The exam will consist of prelims and main exams. Both of these exams will consist of multiple-choice questions. 

MPPSC Forest Service Prelims Exam Pattern 2022:-

MPPSC Forest Service Prelims is the first stage of the selection process, in this test a total of two papers will be asked. Questions will be asked from paper 1 and paper 2. Paper 1 consists of subjects like General Studies and General Aptitude Test. 

The exam will be conducted for a total of 400 marks.

MPPSC Forest Service Mains Exam Pattern 2022:-

The MPPSC Forest Service Mains Exam pattern comprises two Parts i.e Part A and Part B. In Part, A question will be asked from the subjects like General Knowledge of M.P, Politics, and Economy of M.P. whereas in Part B questions will be asked from Forestry and General Science.

  • The exam will be conducted for a total of 450 marks, in Part A and Part B a total of 150 questions will be asked
