The candidates appearing for the NDA exam must fulfill the eligibility criteria, the details of the eligibility criteria have been mentioned below:
(i) a citizen of India , or
(ii) a subject of Bhutan, or
(iii) a subject of Nepal, or
(iv) a Tibetan refugee who came to India before the 01 January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
(v) Only unmarried candidates are allowed to write the examination
(For NDA I 2015):
The candidates not born before 2nd July 1996 and not later than 1st July 1999 are eligible.
(For NDA II 2015):
The candidates not born before 2nd January 1997 and not later than 1st July 1999 are eligible.
For Indian Army wing of National Defence Academy: The candidates must have passed or appearing class 12th from a recognized board or university.
For Air force and Navy wings of National Defence Academy: The candidates must have passed or appearing class 12th with physics and Mathematics from a recognized board or university.
The candidate must be physically fit, and must fulfill the physical standards norms set up by National Defence Academy and National Naval Academy.
NDA exam is one of the highly competitive examinations in the country. Every year thousands of students appear for the NDA exam to become a commissioned officer in the Indian defence forces. The candidate’s selection process comprises of two phases:
1 Written Test
2 SSB Interview
The written test is the first phase of the NDA exam, comprising of multiple choice questions from Mathematics, General knowledge and current affairs, English, quantitative aptitude and reasoning etc. The candidates who qualify the written examination are called for the SSB interview which is the 5 day process and candidates are eliminated every round of SSB, after successfully qualifying the SSB the final merit list is prepared and candidates are selected as per their preferences.

Note: There is also a provision to reprint the submitted application containing fee details, three days after fee payment.
